Today, we cut the ribbon and officially opened a new food pantry at Jere Whitson Elementary School! This pantry, created by The PEP Foundation and stocked with support from a grant from Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, will enable faculty and staff to provide food and essential items directly to students in need. The increasing number of children facing food insecurity motivated the PEP Foundation Board of Directors to expand their network of pantries to include this new location within the Putnam County Schools (TN) School System.![]()
