Katie-Claire Smith

Katie-Claire Smith joined the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce in August 2026 as Program Coordinator of the Highlands Economic Partnership. In this role, Katie-Claire will be overseeing the operation of the impact programs under the Highlands Economic Partnership while promoting the organization and its initiatives through program coordination, stakeholder engagement, communication, marketing, and advocacy. She works to strengthen connections among community partners and support initiatives that contribute to the continued growth and success of the Upper Cumberland.

A graduate of Berry College, Katie-Claire earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a focus in Public Relations. During her time at Berry, she developed a passion for communication, relationship-building, and creating meaningful connections with the community. She was also a member of Berry College’s women’s lacrosse team, where she developed valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, and dedication. She gained additional professional experience through her internship with Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce during the summer of 2025, which ultimately led her to return to the Chamber as a full-time team member.

Katie-Claire is passionate about helping create intentional relationships and impactful experiences for people in the community. When she’s not at the Chamber, she enjoys spending her free time on Center Hill Lake, playing with her dog, Gus, and making memories with the people she loves.
