Sloan Herren

Sloan Herren joined the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce in November of 2025 as the Program Coordinator of the Highlands Economic Partnership.  In this role, Sloan will be overseeing the operation of the nine impact programs under the Highlands Economic Partnership as well as promoting the organization and its initiatives through program coordination, stakeholder engagement, communication, marketing, and advocacy. 

Prior to joining the Highlands Economic Partnership, Sloan served as a secondary education teacher in Putnam County for five years teaching biology and chemistry. Sloan graduated from Tennessee Tech in 2020 with a degree in Secondary Education- Biology and has fostered relationships and gained life experience through various jobs within the school system before becoming a teacher. Outside of her professional endeavors, Sloan enjoys attending various community events with her husband Tyler and their son Palmer.
