Kari Petrelis

Kari Petrelis has served as the Operations Assistant at the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce since January 2022.

She provides administrative support to the VP of Operations, aiding the business operations of each of the departments at the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. No task is too big or too small when it comes to assisting staff, volunteers, community partners, investors, and board members.

Prior to the Chamber, she worked a cumulative 7 years as Front Desk Associate, Sales Coordinator, Assistant General Manager, and finally General Manager at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott. After leaving the hotel, she served as the Service Coordinator at Clayton Homes of Cookeville for a short but fulfilling 6 months.

Kari is a Maryland native who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with an emphasis in Spanish and minors in History and Intercultural Communications from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. With her degree, she took advantage of the opportunity to study in Spain to obtain firsthand educational and cultural knowledge that she uses on an everyday basis.

On the weekends, you can find Kari either on a plane, driving to a to-be-determined destination, or snuggled up with both of her cats watching a movie or TV show with a blanket and milk tea.
