Lynne Matthews
Vice President, Operations

Lynne Matthews has served in multiple capacities at the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, first as Information Specialist in 2003, then promoted to Controller in 2005 and finally promoted at the Vice President of Operations in January of 2006.

Matthews is charged with all operations on the organization including accounting and budget, information technology, office and facility management, human resource efforts, operations among a plethora of other tasks.

A native of Minot, North Dakota, Matthews graduated from Minot State University Magna Cum Laude in 1983 with her bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Since moving to Cookeville in 1983, she spent 17 years working at Tennessee Tech University in the Records and Registration office before joining the Chamber in 2003.

Matthews has three children, Jeremy, Kaleb and Kaitlyn and one grandson, Mason. Along with her “human” children, she has two dogs, Duke and Duchess and one cat, Todd The Cat.

A fun fact about Matthews? She was on the television franchise “Romper Room” in 1965 at the age of four. In her free time, Matthews enjoys hiking, kayaking and dancing.
