Amber Asberry joined the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Bureau division in November 2020. As Marketing and Sales Director, Amber oversees the strategic marketing for the Visitors’ Bureau. Her responsibilities include curation and management of content shared through social media and web, traditional and digital media placement, visitor lead generation, creation of data analytics reports for stakeholders, and recruitment of events to bring valuable investment for Putnam County as a travel destination.
Amber built the foundation of her career in the advertising agency industry and continues to put her focus toward brand management. With over 10 years of marketing strategy and analytics experience, Amber has managed projects for 29 different national and international brands in the B2C, non-profit, and tourism industries.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing with a minor in history from Tennessee Tech University, professional training in graphic design, and a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing and strategy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A native of the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, Amber resides in Cookeville with her husband and Irish Terrier pup. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and traveling.
