Allison Boshears has served as the Director of Communications for the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce since March of 2020.
Boshears serves as the chief communications and public relations official for the organization, which includes the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, the Highlands Economic Partnership and the Cookeville-Putnam County Visitors’ Bureau. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and implementing marketing and social media strategy, writing and editing media releases, creating and releasing digital material as well as moderating and editing web platforms.
Prior to the Chamber, she served two years as the Senior External Coordinator for Marketing and Promotions at Tennessee Tech Athletics with a total of five years in Athletics since 2014. In 2017, Boshears spent one year with the Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office in the Division of Elections.
Boshears serves as the Vice President of YP Highlands, Secretary of the CRMC Foundation Board and is a student mentor through the TNAchieves program.
Boshears graduated Tennessee Tech in May 2014, earning her bachelor's degree in communications with a focus in journalism and public relations. In 2020, Boshears earned her master’s degree in sports administration also from Tennessee Tech.
Boshears, daughter of Cindy and Garvon Boshears and proud aunt to Jenny, Harper and Will, currently resides in Cookeville with her long-haired miniature dachshund and “the most handsome little boy in the world”, Max.
