Karlyn Reel joined the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce in September of 2021 as the Membership and Events Coordinator and quickly transitioned to Director of Membership in January 2022.
Reel is a proud member of the Membership Team alongside Membership and Events Coordinator, Natalie Saxon. Reel manages in the planning and implementation of the Chamber’s special events and connecting those opportunities to Chamber members and the community. Her other responsibilities include developing and implementing quality experience and programs for Chamber Members and the community.
Prior to joining the Chamber, she worked as Director of Public Relations and Events at YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley from 2015-2021. Reel was responsible for all marketing, public relations, social media, and special events for YWCA.
As a proud graduate from the University of Tennessee in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Communications, Reel bleeds orange but is excited to cheer on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles!
Reel and her husband, Jake, re-located to Cookeville in June of 2021 after living in Knoxville for ten years. Both Cookeville High School graduates are so grateful to be back in their hometown, enjoying everything that Upper Cumberland has to offer! Her spare time consists of spending time on the Caney Fork River with her family and chocolate lab, June.
