Yvonne Pickering
Coordinator, Economic & Community Development

Yvonne Pickering moved to Cookeville in 2018 to serve as the Economic & Community Development Coordinator with the Highlands Economic Partnership. In her role, Yvonne supports planning and development of economic development initiatives and focuses on business retention and expansion with the local industries. She also oversees the Legislative Advocacy Program for the organization.

Previously, Yvonne was the Director of Military & Government Affairs with the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce in Clarksville, Tennessee. In this role she served as the liaison for the Chamber to the Fort Campbell, Kentucky community.  She also managed all the legislative initiatives for the organization. Before her time with the Clarksville Chamber, Yvonne was the Director of Family Programs for The 5th Special Forces Group based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Yvonne is certified with the U.S.Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Institute for Organization Management and has extensive education in the Chamber of Commerce industry. She is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Tennessee Economic Development Council.

Yvonne grew up in North Carolina and moved to the great state of Tennessee in 1998. She is a proud Tennessean. Go Titans! In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, attending sporting events,  music and spending time with friends and family. She is  the mother of two sons, Fletcher and Jacob.
