PUBLIX OPENS NEW STORE IN COOKEVILLE, TN

ATLANTA,  Aug. 20, 2018 –  Publix Super Markets is proud to announce that a new store will be opening Wed., Aug. 29 at 7 a.m. at The Shoppes at  Eagle Point Shopping Center located at 1265 Interstate Dr., Cookeville, TN. The Honorable Rickey Shelton, Mayor of Cookeville,  and the Honorable Randy Porter, Mayor of Putnam County, will bring greetings during the ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:45 a.m. 
“Publix hangs its hat on providing excellent customer service and a unique shopping experience for our customers,” said Brenda Reid, Media and Community Relations Manager for Publix. “We are proud to open our new location in Cookeville.”
This new location will be a 45,900 square-foot store, with an estimated 120 associates working there. It will have the traditional grocery, dairy and frozen food departments along with the following offerings:
A FULL-SERVICE MEAT DEPARTMENT allows customers to have their order cut any way they like and trimmed to perfection. The case features a variety of fresh meats as well as ready to cook items prepared fresh in store daily.
THE PRODUCE DEPARTMENT carries both organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables, including a selection of exotic choices from around the world and season’s best. The floral department offers everything from the classic elegance of a dozen roses to bouquets bursting with fresh blooms to pots of lushly colored flowers.
A FULL SERVICE DELI DEPARTMENT featuring a full salad bar and a chef inspired selection of Publix recipes prepared in-store and ready to take home, warm up and serve.  The deli will also offer  Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, as well as made-to-order sub sandwiches, fresh soups, wings and award-winning fried and rotisserie chicken.  Also featured is a Grab & Go case showcasing fresh sandwiches, salads and soups for customers on the go.
 
THE PUBLIX BAKERY is a scratch bakery that offers an array of cakes, cookies and pies as well as wedding cakes made by skilled decorators. Also featured are an assortment of breads and rolls made fresh daily. Customers will also enjoy mini desserts, jumbo muffins and jumbo cupcakes.
APRONS SIMPLE MEALS is a cooking demonstration station offering customers two recipes each week.  Meals clerks conduct live cooking presentations in the built-in kitchen area where recipes are demonstrated on a daily basis.  All of the ingredients for these recipes will be found in the Aprons Simple Meals case located directly next to the kitchen.  Also available is high-quality cookware to help customers have fun and save time in the kitchen.
A FULL SERVICE SEAFOOD DEPARTMENT offers fresh seafood delivered throughout the week. It includes wild and farm-raised varieties of fresh fish as well as an extensive variety of shellfish options. Publix’s whole fish and fillets are fresh, never frozen.
A FULL SERVICE PHARMACY includes clinically trained pharmacists who can make recommendations regarding medications based on the customer’s personal needs. Publix can Sync Your Refills® to the same day each month, check for additional co-pay assistance and offer free select medications for the length of the customer’s prescriptions.  Publix pharmacists can even provide immunizations and flu shotsThis store also features a drive-through pharmacy window, making picking up prescriptions even more convenient!
