Academy Sports + Outdoors to Headline Chamber's First Bizapalooza

PUTNAM COUNTY – The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will host its first semi-annual Bizapalooza and Business After Hours on Thursday, April 2 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre. Bizapalooza, formerly the Small Business Tabletop Expo, will be headlined by the first public outing of Academy Sports + Outdoors in the local business community.

Bizapalooza is geared toward businesses and provides them the opportunity to showcase products and services while networking with other Chamber member businesses. Held at the same time as Business After Hours, the event will allow for increased traffic and a larger audience to showcase capabilities businesses offer.

“This has always been one of the best business-to-business networking opportunities available in our area. With a new name, a new focus on our business community’s visibility and Academy being in attendance, Bizapalooza will be better than ever,” said Expo Committee Chair Mike Grosklaus of Fastsigns.

Academy Sports + Outdoors will have two booths at Bizapalooza, as well as corporate employees and the local CEO meeting with other booths and businesses in attendance.

“We are excited to have Academy Sports + Outdoors at Bizapalooza ready to interact with the business community here. The opportunities available to connect to businesses and see what services and products they offer is always a big draw for the event, and now businesses can meet their newest corporate partner and Academy’s leadership face-to-face,” said Chamber Vice President of Organizational Development Dianne Callahan.

Bizapalooza is made possible by its sponsors: Premier sponsor Academy Sports + Outdoors, presenting sponsor Twin Lakes, supporting sponsors Fastsigns and Cookeville Promo, and food and beverage sponsors Chili’s, Budweiser and Mid-South Distributing.

Only Chamber members can have booths at Bizapalooza, traditionally a members-only event, but others in the business community can attend as a guest to the event for $25.
